Streamlight 75713 Stinger Led Rechargeable Flashlight Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased this flashlight for law enforcement duty; within a week of when I started using it, the rubber power button fell off the flashlight. I was lucky enough to find it in a parking lot, and I replaced it, but within two more days of use, the button vanished again, this time for good. I've spoken to at least two other people with similar problems using this model of flashlight.

Streamlight so far has been completely unresponsive to my requests for customer support, neither returning my voice mails nor my e-mails. It's an impressive flashlight that casts a good beam, but for the one moving part to fail twice within the first two weeks of use is unacceptable. Even more unacceptable is their refusal to communicate with their customers. This flashlight is simply too expensive for poor customer service. I've already decided that when I buy a tactical light for my pistol, it won't be a model made by Streamlight.

Flashlight - PolyStinger? LED Light (w/ AC/DC Charger, 2 Holders) Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I come from a family of peace officers and firefighters and I've known the brand Streamlight as far back as I can remember. These lights are tough, durable and more importantly BRIGHT!My brother who is in police academy told me that his instructor requested the students to purchase this particular flashlight because of the strobe feature, which can be used for tactical entry as well as a temporary defense. (The experience of encountering a bright strobing light can cause dizziness and even nausea in some people.)At any rate, I purchased this light from Amazon.com and liked it so well that I decided to get one for myself. After some shopping around I did find this item at a local store (a plumbing supply company of all places) for $95 which only included one charger. Not a problem.

When the light is turned on it by default uses high intensity. If you keep the power button depressed, in about one second the intensity of the beam will start to decrease to "medium" and a "low" intensity. The strobe function is activated when the power button is rapidly pressed twice.Streamlight does offer a power button located on the "[...]" of the flashlight for power access for "over-handed" use, and is an optional feature.

The battery is considered fully charged after being charged for 12-14 hours...so it takes a while; however, the battery memory is not altered if the battery is not completely discharged regularly. This means that the life span of the battery charge is not diminished if the light sits in the charger for weeks at a time.I consider this a HUGE PLUS!

So, if you're on the fence about purchasing this flashlight, I can honestly say that you will not be disappointed in the performance of this Polystinger.I'm seriously considering getting another one for the car.

**And if you do decide to go with this unit, whatever you do, DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FLASHLIGHT while it is on!!! it is VERY bright!

Streamlight 25103 SL 20XP-LED Flashlight with 120V AC and 12V DC Vehicle Chargers, 2 Sleeves, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I use this flashlight just about everyday on the job.Since it is very light and has a great grip it is easy to hold in your armpit while you hands are busy working. The LED function works awesome when you don't need to light up everything around you just what is in front of you.I don't know exactly how long the light lasts in each mode, but probably 45 min in full mode and a very long time with LED.It is made of a polymer but is surprisingly sturdy.Previously I used the metal version of this light which worked well just a bit heavy.

Streamlight 75014 Stinger Rechargeable Flashlight with Charger, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The Stinger is a great rechargeable light. It's small yet provides a bright amount of light for about an hour. With the adjustable lens, you can choose a floodlight or spotlight.
The Stinger comes with two charging cradles and an AC cord and DC cord so you can have one in your car and one at home. Therefore you can always have your Stinger charging to be used whenever you need it. The extra bulb in the tailcap is also nice.
+'s: small, bright, fits easy in your hands, adjustable beam, 1 hour run time, you can charge the battery without taking it out of the flashlight, charging cradles allow you to place the flashlight from the top or "snapped" in from the front.
-'s: long charge time unless you buy the "fast" charger.
If you need to constantly use a flashlight that is small but powerful (security guard, handyman, plumber), the Stinger will not disappoint you. The rechargeable battery will save you money in the long run.
Although expensive, it is good quality and I would buy this flashlight again. For a brighter light, check out the Stinger HP which is rated almost 3 times as bright.

Product Description:
Streamlight's Stinger is designed for use by law enforcement officers. As you might expect for a flashlight intended for this kind of use, it puts out a lot of light-the powerful xenon bi-pin bulb gives you up to 125 lumens. Plus, you can easily customize the beam from spot to flood via the focus mechanism. As an added bonus, the Stinger is rechargeable, and will give you up to one hour of continuous use from a single charge. The flashlight comes with a 120V AC charge cord, a 12V DC charge cord, two charger holders, and a spare bulb (which is stored onboard in the tail-cap). The Stinger is 7-3/8 inches long and weighs just 10 ounces.--Josh Dettweiler
