(More customer reviews)I ordered the EZIP 1000 several months ago and have been thoroughly impressed with the value for the money that the scooter has provided since I received it.I originally purchased the scooter to run around my neighborhood.However, I have found myself using it far more than I imagined.The scooter folds up easily so I am able to put it in my car and use it in a variety of places and on various terrains.....it runs great on sidewalks, concrete, grass, and dirt.I weigh 200+lbs and the scooter provides plenty of power and zip.Riding the scooter is very smooth and it's easy to steer thanks to the full suspension.Additionally, the scooter is very quiet.I have enjoyed this scooter very much and would highly recommend it!

Super Turbo 800watt Elite 36v Electric Scooter "Black" (Now includes Econo/Turbo mode button!) Review

(More customer reviews)Found this scooter back in Dec '08 while checking out for new scooters to purchase. At first glace, it has a remarkable resemblance to a Revo, an Australian brand scooter and a Mach1, a UK brand scooter, not to mention the X-Treme X-600. While there are other similar scooters in Singapore, I'm assuming that I'm the only person right now in my country who own this US custom made electric scooter, of course there could be others after this. Being an owner of several electric scooters of this class, which include a Goped (SLA) ESR750H and a Goped (SLA) ESR750EX (I will only compare it with scooters that are above 500 watt), I should say this scooter is very fast and is definitely faster that a Goped ESR. It will most certainly out run a default programmed/configured ESR any time, any day, even with the ESR's Turbo switch turn on. I can't help but have a funny feeling that they rigged the controller to sacrifice range for speed. In comparison with the SLA version of the Goped (mounted with B.B HR9 Battery and I think it would not be fair to compare it with Lithium powered scooter), the range is slightly more than that of a Goped ESR750H, but not by much. I estimate an additional range of around a mile more than a SLA powered Goped. Unlike some scooters with similar appearances, the scooter is able to climb hills and slopes as well, much like the Goped. What really bothers me about the scooter right now is the batteries and motor lifespan, given the fact that on both of my SLA powered Gopeds, the battery really begins to show some sign of degrade in the range it is able to provide before the gauge starts blinking red, which is quite noticeable from the second-third month onwards. Not to mention the number of brush cards which I killed in the process. The assumption is that it could probably due to the fact that I use the SLA Goped particularly every single day. Time will only tell if the scooter's batteries will last as long as it claims. On the other hand, it would probably be a good excuse for me to mount a 15-20 Ah LiPO4 battery on it (if I can stuck it in the tray) should the day comes when the 3 SLA batteries decide to die on me and this modding is something which I could not do with my Lithium version of the Goped ESR - the LIon ESR750H/Iped. I do think however that they could do a better job with the decorative stickers, as it really begins to peep off during my first attempt of riding it. Overall, it is an excellent, fast and powerful scooter. Was initially having the intention of just giving 4 stars given the fact that it cost me around the same price of the scooter to ship it here. However, since the scooter reached me in perfect condition after the long journey from US, 5 stars from me then.

(More customer reviews)Ok here we go. I wrote that review on the Honda Minimoto Dirtbike.I said how it was not good and how I purchased the Go Kart and the Maxxi and they also had problems. Read that review, the title is "TRUST ME READ THIS". I said to myself you know what im going buy the Razor MX500 Dirt Bike. WOW WHAT A GREAT BUY!!!!!! This thing is durable, safe, and fun. I recommend it for ages 8-15 years old. However there are reviews for other razor products about the battery life. Yes the battery life is not good, IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I followed the directions and my MX500's battery is fantastic. To have a good motor and battery follow these easy steps...
1. Take MX500 out of box CAREFULLY!
2. Assemble in order of the directions (If you follow them it will be assembled in 20 minutes).
3. Turn MX500 on and JUST FOR ONE SECOND TWIST THE THROTTLE just to make sure it works. (Do not ride just a flick of the throttle just to check).
4. Charge the MX500 overnight or for 12 or more hours (The key is to charge it for 12+ hours)
5. Take the charger out and go ride
If you follow these directions given your MX500 will be perfect.

Razor E100/125/150 Electric Scooter battery Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a part that was listed as the replacement part needed for the E100 Razor Scooter, but when it arrived it was not the correct part. When I ordered this part I actually trusted that this would be the part needed. Once I received the part I took apart the scooter and discovered the single battery should have been a dual battery with buit-in wires (sealed wires). When I contacted the company for a refund, I was told that I would have to pay the return shipping. The return shipping would cost more then the part itself and I had already paid that amount in the beginning... I would have actually spent about 3 times what the cost should have been, so needless to say that cost would not be very wise. Like I explained, that was the part the company SAID I needed form the scooter. During conversations I was told that was the "exact" part that I had ordered and they would not pay for my return shipping. My last contact from them stated, "I am very unfamiliar with the harnesses, it is something that we have never sold before. The only ones I have seen they areclipped on. Let me know what you deceide to do." The only option they ever gave me was to pay for the return shipping or order a second one at half price. Thanks but no thanks... My wife found the CORRECT part at another company and it was listed correctly...

Razor E300 Electric Scooter Review

(More customer reviews)Like some reviews, my 8-year-old son's first E300 only ran about ten minutes per charge and 13mph max speed (yes, I have a radar gun). Troubleshooting sent us toward a dragging brake, but the brake adjustment was fine. The chain, however, was super tight (I'm an old motorcycle racer, so I know a lot about chain tension). I loosened the chain tension, but no improvement, and returned the entire unit. (I suspect either a bad battery or the overly tight chain tension damaged the motor armature.) When the next E300 showed up, I checked the chain immediately out of the box. Again, super tight. I loosened the chain (extra loose for the first run, maybe 3/4" play) and completed the rest of the setup. The unit performed flawlessly. Speed was consistently 17mph and still running strong after 35 minutes (we've only done two test runs so far). Slightly tightened chain tension to about 1/2" after first run. Also, as noted by another reader, we looked everywhere for the rear tire inflater extension, only to find it inside the right handlebar grip cap. Good luck figuring that out when it isn't in the directions. The E300 is sturdily built - a lot more than I would expect for the money. I weigh 210 lbs and the structure doesn't flinch when I climb aboard (although the motor is clearly not intended for any hills or probably heavy riders). My son is about 60 lbs and we live in Florida (no hills), so this thing will hopefully last a long time. If you live where there are hills or you weigh more than 150 lbs, I recommend you look for another scooter.Happy riding.Razor E300 Electric Scooter

Update: 10-01-2007I took the E300 out for a test run myself after dropping my son off at school (I want to test the unit thoroughly inside the 30-day return policy). I cruised the entire neighborhood, local park and all around. It is a very blustery day (threatening rain and lots of wind), so I encountered lots of headwinds. Through the ride I was up and down small hills too. I did this entire drive without any stopping, and the E300 finally gave out at 25 minutes on the button (the motor was moderately hot to the touch). Because of my weight (210 lbs), I can tell the motor is small and not designed for any hills or adults, so I was very impressed by this performance, especially considering the occasional stiff headwinds that I could tell strained the motor (you have no choice but to stand straight up like a sail forcing against the motor). My 8-year-old son is about 65 lbs and has never seen the "low power" light yet during his two 35 minute runs. I still think we have winner!

(More customer reviews)The scooter is good, works fine, good battery life and stable but with someone even close to the rated load it has inadequate clearance between the ground and the motor. I got this one for my wife the 100 for my child (she loves it) and the 300 for me. Just driving around the neighborhood and hitting little dips in the road on the 200 will cause the motor to hit the street very hard.The 100 has a solid wheel so even though the clearance is low it does not suffer the same fate. If you are going to get a bigger scooter than the 100 then go for the 300, the clearance issue is much improved for that model.

Razor Ground Force Electric Go-Kart Review

(More customer reviews)I had a Power Wheels toy for my girls when they were 2 and 4.Now that my son was turning 4, I didn't want him driving around in a pink Barbie Jeep.

I went and bought the Ground Force but it is significantly faster - the Power Wheels tops out at 5mph (but also allows you to lock the speed to a max of 2.5mph), whereas the Ground Force has a max speed of 12mph.

I must say though, that I (a 40 year old man who weighs 165 pounds) LOVE this thing...It was fast, nimble and my neighbors got used to seeing me drive around the neighborhood.But, ahem, where was I? Oh yes, back to the kids.

My 6 and 9 year old daughters love this car since it is significantly faster than their old Power Wheel car.I was even able to take my 6 year old out with it when I went roller blading and she was able to keep up with me and then some (we went out for about an hour (so figure we went about 8-10 miles since we weren't going the full hour.

That being said, it is way too fast for my 4 year old...and even my 6 year old who knows how to drive was doing a series of figure 8's in the street at max speed and loving it...when she lost control and ran full speed into the curb...she was NOT a happy camper, although she wasn't seriously hurt.

The car does sit low though...so if a child were to run under an SUV...there is a very real chance the child could be seriously hurt though because their face would smack into the bumper...so PLEASE be mindful.

I allowed our friend's daughter who was 5 to drive the car in an very open field and she loved it...but ended up losing control as well and running into a play structure. She hurt hurt herself and broke the seatbelt because she panicked and went full speed into the structure...she wasn't seriously hurt...but I have definitely re-thought my stance about letting ANY child under 8 or 9 drive the cart by themselves.

Because there is no way to lock out the max speed...the children should be very carefully supervised.I do drive my 4 year old in my lap (and even drove him to pre-school one day in the morning (which he loved btw).Of course, I did look a bit stupid driving home in this go kart in the morning near the school...but my son was VERY excited! ;)

Please please be careful with this car with young children.

(More customer reviews)This seated Razor scooter is very well constructed, and even though it has only been test-driven one time because of adverse weather conditions, it seems to reach an adequate top speed.However:if planning to purchase the E300S Razor, be aware that the scooter will only operate for a maximum of forty (40) minutes, after which it takes at least eight (8) hours of recharging to prepare it for another forty (40) minutes of use.
It is also noted in the directions that the two (2) 12 volt batteries can be recharged about 200 times before they have to be replaced.This means if the scooter is used and recharged every day, the batteries will have to be replaced in just a little over six (6) months.These are two things that need to be considered before making a purchase.

(More customer reviews)I wanted a scooter to take around town instead of using my gas guzzling car. I had a 49cc scooter, but I sold it and got this instead. Even though it goes half of the speed of the gas scooter, it's much much quieter (not that it doesn't make a sound, it does). It was pretty easy to get together and I zipping around in no time. I'm never going back to a gas scooter or bike again.

Advantages:

No pollution
The handlebars fold up and seat comes off very easily, like a Dahon folding bike, for easy storage
Smooth ride

Disadvantages:

Not really powerful. This is for moving around town, not going on long rides.
Range. It goes 12 miles. Which means, going at a constant maximum speed, you'd get almost 50 minutes of use of it.

ACCUMATE BATTERY CHARGER - NO HAZARD BATTERIES - Review

(More customer reviews)I acquired this along with a Westco Battery after my trusty Sears charger bit the dust.In general, I'm neutral on it after owning it for about a month now.

I think this is designed for motorcycle owners who keep their bikes in an enclosed garage with a 115VAC outlet close at hand.In that scenario, used for overnight charging, this is probably a useful charger.

In my case, the bike is at the end of a carport, definitely not nearby my condominium, and I can't string electrical power to the bike.My normal operating procedure when faced with a low battery was to roll the bike to a spot near my unit, run a heavy extension cord, and charge for a couple of hours.So, to be fair, my situation is not ideal for any charger.

However, using the Accumate is suboptimal for me.First, it's designed to provide a slow charge, tapering off as the battery approaches a full charge.Once that's achieved, the green LED comes on, and you are good to go.However, that process takes a while.With my older charger, I had a gauge, which gave me some idea how close I was to completion, and allowed the option of stopping charging and going for a ride to complete the process.(Some will object that the slow charging process will provide the best battery life, and they are right.But that's not feasible in my situation, and my battery life is not optimal anyway due to the bike being in freezing temperatures occasionally.)

So, with the Accumate, I have to remove the battery and charge it overnight on the patio.(I do not charge batteries within enclosed spaces to avoid the possibility of a hydrogen explosion.So it's always done outside.)

This brings up a second issue - the unit is not ideal for outside use.The cooling vents on the top of the charger allow rainfall to enter the unit.Fortunately, the Accumate was not plugged in during the rain.

Additionally, the AC power cord seems problematic - it only makes connection at specific angles.The unit has not been dropped or dangled bu the cord, so I have to question the assembly quality.(This was before the rain -- no connection.)

So...Plusses are a charge designed to support battery life, compact size, and design specific to motorcycles.Negatives are simplistic indicators and longish charging time.

If your garage is a shrine to your motorcycle(s), then the Accumate may be a good choice for you.If you don't have a garage, then you may want to save the money and apply it to a regular automotive battery charger with a slow (1-2 amp) cycle instead.I'm not sure that I would buy this again.
