I have researched this device, and it appears to NOT include the battery, or charger, even though the picture includes a 12v battery.
So, buyer beware: unless you already have a compatible system, this is an incomplete product. FYI!

Intova Wide Angle Torch Flashlight Review

I've been diving since '93 and have had a fair number of lights over the years.I still love my big old UK1200 but it's a monster with 8 D Cells and I wanted a really good small backup light that could be kept with me all the time.

So I bought one of these and was astonished at how good it is.And so immediately bought a 2nd.We just got back from 8 days in Bonaire and I kept one with me during day dives, where it came in very handy for looking under ledges below about 40-50'.And I used both of them, one in each hand, for night dives.

Other lights have a "hot spot", and then a "halo" around that. This Intova Wide Angle has a single very wide hot spot. There is no discernible difference between the center and edges - it is simply one BIG hot spot.Quite bright and clear. If you have 2 of them, then you can pan them back and forth and bathe a very impressive swath of reef.If you want "more light" then simply overlap the two beams and VOILA - you get nearly double the output. So for $110 - get two of these and you will be very happy indeed.

The batteries last a good long time.Intova claims something like 8 hours or more.I'd say from my experience that you can get a good 5-6 hours, and they get dimmer after that.

Replacement batteries do not need to be all that expensive - just do a search on any major engine for CR-123 or CR-123a and you'll find these for about $1 per battery (2 needed) - so get a bunch and you're set - they are lithium and should really last.

Everything that you want to see from 1-15 feet - these are ideal. They do NOT have the penetrating power of a "true primary light" but that's ok by me since I'm highly focused on everything within 15', and usually 10' or less, at night.

I would say that these are the BEST 2ndary light ever, hands-down.But, I made very good use of them as a pair for my primary, and let one of our group borrow my monster UK1200.

I had considered getting Intova's high-end 3 LED primary but for $250, it didn't make sense, especially when I can just hold these 2 together and double-up my output whenever I like.

Bottom line - GET one, or better yet get two.

I bought 2 of these rechargeable LED flashlights with motion light sensor and had placed them at strategic entry points in my house.Last week the power went out in the middle of the night and passing by the kitchen, without realizing the lights where there, the motion sensor kidded in and wha-la we could see!

I fantastic thing to have around the house.I am going to buy a few more to put one in each room.

The light is quality made and works very well!

A must have in case of emergency!!!!!

Kaito KA404 Emergency Hand Crank Dynamo 5-LED Flashlight with AM/FM radio Review

Kaito KA404 Emergency Hand Crank Dynamo 5-LED Flashlight with AM/FM radio

I loved this little device!I'm a baseball fan and used this on nearly a daily basis, since April, carrying it from room to room in the evenings.I'd wind up my radio, pull up a chair and let the scene unfold before me as told though the poetic musings of Vin Scully and his beloved Dodgers, each broadcast the elocutionary equivalent of a Norman Rockwell masterpiece.

Last night, after 4 months of solid use, the plastic handle of the charging crank snapped right off.I wasn't turning the crank particularly hard.I don't suppose this device was engineered for as regular use as I put it through. It's probably perfect as a storeaway for emergenices type use.In any case It's cheap enough that I won't hesitate in buying another.

One other small reservation, and again it would only seem to be an issue in the case of heavy use:The plastic body casing seemed to regularly buckle ever so slightly during cranking, so much so that I figured the case might eventually crack open due to wear before anything else would go wrong. Also when gripping the unit for cranking it's difficult not to mash (and turn) the control dials during the act of cranking. On my unit the light switch seems to be spring loaded and switches and locks itself into the on and off positions. It was very common for the light to activate due to incidental squeeze pressure during cranking, then the switch failing to 'catch' when pressing the button to turn off, leaving the light stuck on 'on', only turning off finally after multiple forceful presses.

Again I never expected to enjoy this little gadget as much as I did.As a kid, another L.A. radio icon, Dr. Demento would open each show with his signature schtick: "Wind up your radios boys and girls...!".I never had a wind up radio until now.
