Maglite RN7019 NIMH Battery Heavy-Duty Rechargeable Flashlight System, Black Review

I've always been a fan of Maglite products, so when my mother-in-law said that her husband's rechargeable flashlight went kaput, I searched on the internet and found this Maglite RN7019 for his father's day gift.
I ordered it on Wednesday with two day shipping, and when it came in on Friday, I was going to put the initial charge on for him so it would be ready to go.To my dismay, I found, there is nothing in this system that allows you to plug it into the wall.Although it comes standard in the RN6019 or RN1019, you have to purchase it separately in the 7019.I bought the MAGLITE ARXX195 MAG Charger 120 Volt AC Converter V2 and the MAGLITE ARXX205 MAG Charger 12 Volt DC Cord with Cigarette Lighter Adapter V2 and of course had to pay for next day shipping as Father's Day was that coming Sunday.I didn't get to put the full initial 24 hour charge on the flashlight as I was out of time.Had I known, I would've bought it all at the same time. Now, I've got well over $100 wrapped up in this flashlight that I could've bought in a package for much cheaper in the MAGLITE RN1019.

For the MAGLITE RN7019, the phrase "Rechargeable Flashlight SYSTEM" is a bit misleading. However, my father-in-law thinks the flashlight is great.

MAGLITE RX1019 Heavy-Duty Rechargeable Flashlight System, Black Review

As a 10 year aircraft maintainer in the US Air Force, I've used everything from standard Mag-lites, scuba divers' lights, and even penlights in a pinch.I can say this flashlight is brighter than any other I've used.It cuts my inspection time in half because I can see things 55 feet off the ground just like it was right in front of me.Don't be fooled to think a rechargeable battery pack isn't as strong as standard alkaline batteries. This isn't the case.I wouldn't trade this flashlight for anything!

By combining superior design with reliability, durability, and an unprecedented lifetime warranty, Maglite produces reliable, iconic flashlights that are designed exclusively in the USA and are built by American workers.

MAGLITE LR00001 Replacement Halogen Lamp for Rechargeable Flashlight Review

MAGLITE LR00001 Replacement Halogen Lamp for Rechargeable Flashlight

These work but they are not even close to putting out any where near the amount of light the older xenon bulbs use to.They're not 7 bucks a piece either so I guess it might be a down side but you're getting about 3x the bulbs for the money. If you want to get a really bright light maybe the maglite isn't good enough anymore if we can't keep it bright. There are a lot of other choices out there.

I've had mine for 14 years now on the beat and it still works.I've only had 2 batteries in it.I charge when it only needs to be charged. So in other words I've only bought one battery to replace the old one. It's lasted a long time so I guess I can't complain.I do find myself not using it a lot anymore because of the brightness of the flaslight.it's like a regular 3 cell anymore.

I have been using my Rechargable Mag light with the Ni-Cad Battery Pack for over five years. It charges when I am not using the light and when I pick it up to use the light these batteries really hold a charge. I take iton trips without even bringing the charger. It is one of my favorite tools. The battery does not leak and it is ZERO trouble. I recommend this lightand battery pack for everyone. Portable, rugged, dependable and veryuseful.

Maglite ARXX235 NiHM Replacement Flashlight Battery Review

Maglite ARXX235 NiHM Replacement Flashlight Battery

The Maglite rechargable flashlite is one of the finist flashlights available. It's no wonder Police, Fire, Rescue, Home Inspectors, etc use this light. It's 30,000 lumen light is so bright that you can see it even on a sunny day. It's equally impressive at night also. That said, the batteries only last between two and seven years depending on use. With daily use as a home inspector they usually lasted two to two and half years with daily recharging. Since getting out of that business five years ago I've used the flashlite like most families, ocasionally as needed and when my grand children liked to remind me how bright they are. They too were quite impressed with them.Let me tell you - you get used to not having to replace batteries in your flashlite. But like all things; nothing last forever. But recently I finally tired of having one dim flash light that needed regular recharging ( I own three ).I asked my wife who's always out and about to stop by a national tool and electric franchise to pick me up a replacement battery. Fortunetly the sales clerk couldn't figure out which battery was correct and when she got home and reminded me how much they charge for em I said "well let's look on line".Good thing cause Amazon sells them for half as much. When I pulled my old battery I saw that I had wriitten the purchase date of Aug 03 on it.So there you have it. I used that light for two years professionally and four and half years as Harry Home Owner. So, are they worth it? you betcha. If you want to buy one flashlight that will serve you for likely the rest of your life, buy a Maglite rechargableand note the date of purchase on the battery. It's nice to be reminded years later how long it worked.Good luck.d
