Coleman Rechargeable QuickPump Air Pump with Hose Review

Coleman Rechargeable QuickPump Air Pump with Hose
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Coleman's Quickpump is a handy device for those who own inflatable rafts, large flotation devices, air mattresses and other object s that require too much air to inflate manually. This air pump quickly fills up any inflatable object, saving you the huffing and puffing necessary to inflate the old fashioned way.

One of the many nice things about this pump is the fact that it is electric. Many air pumps- like those that are often included when purchasing an air mattress- are battery powered. This means that the batteries could fail at some point when you need the pump most, delaying your attempt to inflate your favorite flotation device. With Quickpump, you get electric, rechargeable energy. You just plug the pump into a socket, using the detachable cord, let it charge, and then take it directly to the item that needs to be inflated.

Coleman includes some different attachments for use on different valves (like a wider attachment for Boston valves) and it also includes a hose at the end for added convenience. With this hose, you can stand back, hold the base of the unit a short distance away, and direct the flow of air into the valve. This makes the use of the pump more comfortable.

This pump does have a few limitations. It will not work on objects that require a needle tip (like a basketball) or similar inflationary requirement. There are no adaptors for this, so you will not be able to use Quickpump. Also, keep in mind that this pump is a little on the noisy side. For something so compact (it weighs only about 4 pounds) it really makes a lot of noise.

Overall, this is a good pump to own for those who have large inflatable items that cannot be inflated by hand. The pump recharges quickly and efficiently, providing a constant, steady flow of air without the worry of having batteries fail. It makes a nice choice of gift for campers and others who need a solid, reliable air pump that they can count on.

Coleman High Performance Rechargeable Pump - Red/ Grey Review

Coleman High Performance Rechargeable Pump - Red/ Grey
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this rechargeable pump for use with an inflatable boat.I was initially looking for the earlier model of the Coleman Rechargeable Quick Pump, but could not find it in my local Target store. It is about 3 dollars more and is slightly larger.

Took it on a 3 day boating trip, having to inflate a 14 foot boat(With NARU valvles) 4 times. Now the adapters did not fit the valves (too small), but sufficiently inflated the boat by placing the pump directly in the valve. It inflated fast considering the size of the boat.

Each time the pump stayed on for about 5 minutes.Since then I've used it 2 more times(6 total) without recharging (which is about 30-40 minutes of total battery use) and surprisingly there's no faintness in the power of the air pump.

It's a little loud, but compared to a friend's Coleman Pump I mentioned above, it is noticeably quieter. It also has a little storage bay on the back of the pump to put the nozzle heads, which is nice, but it is slightly loose so be careful not to lose them. This is definitely a handy pump to have that would work on all sorts of inflatable items.Overall i'm very happy with this pump.

UPDATE:The charger lasted even longer than I mentioned, and finally died after 9 uses over the span of a month. That's approximately 45-55 minutes of the pump turned on before discharging.

Being a BIG Guy (6'6' 375lbs) you would think an air matress would pop or I would hit the floor when laying on it, not the case with this one, very nice matress, super easy setup (self inflate) easy to take down and fold up, but best of all being a large guy sleeping on this was comfortable and doesn't feel like its gonna POP at any second.

Coleman LED Rechargeable Lantern Review

Coleman LED Rechargeable Lantern
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this lantern and I waited until I actually used it for the purpose of emergency lighting before submitting a review. I just survived the Blizzard of 2010 in Washington DC with no electricity for three days. This lantern was charged up and ready to go before the storm, and was able to get us through the three days of power outage with about 3 -5 hours per night of judicious use. This lantern works best if hung above eye level as the LED light is probably too bright for most people. However, this lantern gives off sufficient light for reading at night with no eye strain. This is a huge plus when the only entertainment during a blizzard with no electricity is a good book!I used night light, lo and hi settings, and I found that there was significant changes in illumination from setting to setting. The power cable and car charging unit can be stored inside of the lantern base. I leave mine plugged into the wall outlet for on-demand lighting when needed. I particularly like the car charger capability, although I have not yet had occasion to use it. Overall, great product for the intended use of emergency lighting in the home or light for the campsite.

To activate the "emergency on" setting, simply set the lantern to the high or low position while charging the battery. Other features include a durable chrome-plated rhino guard; a weather-resistant housing; and two power adapters: a 120-volt AC adapter for home charging and a 12-volt power adapter for vehicle charging. Both chargers are stored in the base. The Coleman LED rechargeable lantern carries a five-year warranty.
About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

Product Description:
Tired of camping lanterns that burn through batteries like nobody's business? Turn to the Coleman rechargeable lantern, which offers up to nine hours of runtime on a single charge. The family-size lantern features an 11-watt fluorescent spiral U-tube bulb that shines brightly regardless of its locale, with a reflector that directs the light upward and outward so more people can enjoy it. Should the bulb burn out, the lantern offers a quick-release lever for easy bulb replacement (an extra tube is included). Most importantly, when the lantern starts to lose power, you can easily recharge the battery via a 120-volt AC outlet or a vehicle's 12-volt DC power port (cords included). That means you can recharge the lantern before leaving on a trip, or you can recharge it at the campsite using your car's lighter port. Other details include an "emergency on" circuit that helps overcome power failures, a built-in nightlight, and a recyclable battery. The lantern--which also runs extremely cool to protect against fires--measures 6.75 by 14 by 8 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 7.78 pounds.
About Coleman
The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.
