(More customer reviews)I got mine a year before Amazon started selling them. And after two years (unlike most rechargable solar lanterns and other similar devices), with even indirect sunlight for 8+ hours, I stilll get 12+ hours of decently-bright-light from the lantern. That's quite a difference than other solar lanterns I've looked at which give, at most, 4 hours (usually less) of light...after 24+ hours! of sunlight. By the way, when you turn on this lantern's dial after charging, only turn the dial until maximum brightness is reached (look at the surrounding area; not the LEDs). That way, you will get the most light it can produce, and give you 3-4 extra hours of light because you're not uselessly 'cranking-up' the power while not getting any more light. (BTW: There are a lot of cheap "big C" poor quality solar lanterns out there, but this unit is a QUALITY one.)
