(More customer reviews)When I purchased my first digital camera 3 years ago, I never thought it could go through batteries as quickly as it did so I never thought about buying rechargables.Besides, my rechargable history had not been a good one.Very expensive batteries, charger only worked when it wanted to work.

I did quite a bit of research when I purchased my newest digital camera and batteries 6 months ago.The PowerEX batteries and chargers were reviewed quite highly and tested to be long lasting.The price was decent and much lower than I had paid 3 years ago for other rechargables.I figured that I didn't have too much to lose.

Well, six months later I am getting ready to buy more batteries for other items in the house.There were times that I loaded my fully charged batteries in my camera and took over 1000 flash pictures and still had a great charge on the batteries.They hold their charge for weeks and can be charged quickly if needed.

My son uses these in his game cube wireless controlers and gets days worth of playing time from them before needing a charge.

These are inexpensive, ship very quickly, and are a deal for twice the price.I can't imagine having to lug around regular batteries in my camera case ever again.And with PowerEX batteries, I won't have to.

(More customer reviews)To a total of $22 for 9.6v 2000mAh mini nunchuck style batteries, it's an incredibly good deal compared to the premium Intellect batteries that will run you $35 and/or more.The company that makes these batteries here are by Tenergy and are great batteries.I was afraid it was going to come DOA but it was fully charged, it totally surprised me.These batteries are great and a better deal than local surplus stores nearby.5 stars for these batteries and I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a mini battery and faster ROF for the AEG.

(More customer reviews)I first bought this system for use with wireless microphones that eat 9vdc batteries and do not perform well with the 7.2 volt rechargable nicad cells.The problem has always been that with the same number of cells inside the 9v stack at 1.2 V instead of 1.5Vyou loose .3 V x 6 cells or 1.8 volts which drops the typical rechargable cell from 9V to 7.2 V.

Transmitters don't work well on 7.2 volts of typical rechargable "9v" batteries.You also tend to want a fresh charge on your battery before use which is where this product comes in.

It adds an extra cell to get you 9.5 volts which is typical of normal batteries.

The con:The batteries are only about 230-250 mah instead of the alkaline 500 mah so you do not get the same runtime.The charger is well made and indicates when the cells are charged.

These are recommended for use when you know that you want a charged battery and don't mind recharging it when done (example using it for a wireless mic).The higher voltage will make the product work well and you won't be wondering if the battery is fully charged or not - you will know it is full every time.For people who use alot of 9V batteries, this will pay for itself in a short amount of time.

TSD Universal Smart Charger 7.2-12V for NiCad & NiMH batteries Review

(More customer reviews)A universal smart charger such as this should be a standard part of any airsoft player's arsenal. By cutting the time it takes to charge batteries by perhaps over 80% it will make any player (and team, for that matter) increadibly more effective. Some reasons are as follows:

Metal gearbox Automatic Electric Guns (AEGs) are for the most part unrivaled in terms of overall capability on the airsoft field. Charging their batteries with typical wall chargers however takes many hours, necessitating that airsoft battles be planned far in advance. This smart charger thus enables you to play more impromptu.

Furthermore, with wall chargers the possibility of a failed or partial charge always exists. One may be in the middle of a day of airsoft and start to whitness their AEGs firepower rapidly decline until soon it lacks the power to shoot. Unless you have another battery on hand you will be done for the day, but with the rapid charger you can atleast make another attempt at recharging your battery.

This brings up another great point; that by having the ability to recharge your batteries in a reasonable period of time, the chance to play for far longer periods of time. If you have two or more batteries to alternate with, how long a day of airsoft lasts becomes limited now only by your pellet supply, personal, team, and opposition endurance, etc, but no longer by your battery. As with a true military campaign, having control of your logistics is often the key to victory. In airsoft you realize this when you whitness yourself reaching for your spring plinker to face a machinegun nest.

As for complaints, I have yet to find any noteworthy faults with this tool. Cost is a mentionable downside, as a total of around $32 for a charger may seem pricy compaired to working with the slow chargers that are normally packaged with your AEG. However, for a serious airsoft player, and even more so for a team, the convieniance combined with the additional hours and flexibilit of play will make the Universal Smart Charger well worth the cost.
