1. This is made about as cheaply as it can be ... most parts are plastic and they don't fit very well together.
2. It performs nothing at all like a good electric does (e.g., Panasonic trimmers that run at high speed) - instead of 2-3 passes, you have to make many, many (9-10?) passes over the same spot to get a smooth result
3. It pulls, as well as cuts.So the final result is pretty poor, unless you take a LONG time working at it.And since it pulls, it is not much fun going over and over your face.
I too thought I'd save money.I bought it for $9.99 at CVS, thinking "Even if this lasts only one year, I will save money over straight razors."But I guess you get what you pay for.This is one terrible electric - the worst I've ever had.Get a Panasonic ES7103K for about $50 and you won't be sorry.
