It charges when I am not using the light and when I pick it up to use the light these batteries really hold a charge. I take iton trips without even bringing the charger. It is one of my favorite tools.The battery does not leak and it is ZERO trouble. I recommend this lightand battery pack for everyone. Portable, rugged, dependable and veryuseful.
